To survey the availability of major horticultural by-products namely pineapple waste, orange peels, banana peels, jack-fruit residues and vegetable waste from cabbage, pumpkin and carrot and to study the nutritional status of pigs reared under village conditions in hill and plain districts of Assam. 2. To study the effect of various feed processing and biotechnological interventions of the above horticultural by-product-based rations on growth performance and meat quality in pigs. 3.
