Salient Achievements

  • Successfully implemented 3 externally funded research projects, 2 consultancy projects and 1 international research project.

  • Both M.F.Sc. and Ph.D. degree programmes of the department received accreditation from the Education Division, ICAR, New Delhi.

  • A total of 25 M.F.Sc. and 5 Ph.D. scholars have successfully completed their degree programmes from the department.

  • Faculty members have published 25 research papers in reputed national and international journals (Q1, Q2 and Q3).

  • A patent has been applied for entitled "A system for collection of Egg of zebrafishes and the process for collection of the same".

  • Successfully conducted an ICAR sponsored Short Course on "Aquatic Ecotoxicology and Food Quality Standards: Assessing Aquatic Environmental Pollutants and Ensuring Fish Food Safety".

  • One Ph.D. scholar secured the 3rd Best Three Minute Thesis Presentation Award at IIG RC 2023.

  • Established National Collaborations with Central and State Universities and various Research Institutes.

  • Established International Collaborations with:

    • University of Zagreb, Croatia
    • University of Idaho, USA
