Salient Achievements

  • Development of a wide range of value-added fish products including fish pickle, fish cutlet, fish sausage, fish ball, fish papad, deboned fish slabs and hygienically prepared dry fish.

  • Successfully transferred fish pickle technology to private entrepreneurs for commercial production.

  • Developed herbal-treated dry fish products to improve product quality and shelf life.

  • Demonstrated Solar Kiln Dryer Technology under the APART project at 10 locations across different districts of Assam for hygienic fish drying.
