The Department of Animal Nutrition is one of the Academic Departments of Lakhimpur College of Veterinary Science, Assam Veterinary and Fishery University, Joyhing, North Lakhimpur Campus. Presently, this Department is imparting UG education in the field of Animal Nutrition for the students pursuing BVSc & AH in the Second Professional Year as per Veterinary Council of India Syllabus. The department is having well equipped laboratories required for UG teaching as well as for conducting faculty research. The Department is presently undertaking a NEC sponsored Project entitled "Setting up of Animal Feed Production Units in North East India" in the College Campus. In the Project a Livestock Feed Production Unit has already commissioned where different livestock and poultry feed production will be done.
