Capacity building and doubling the income of local pig rearers through assisted reproductive technology in the North Bank of BrahmaputraDr. Arunoday Das20222025

Salient Achievements

  • Providing regular technical support specially to address infertility problems of livestock to Veterinary Officers of North bank plain of Assam and neighbouring district of Arunachal Pradesh.
  • Providing Artificial Insemination (AI) facility for Cattle, Goat and Pig at VCC complex, LCVSc and nearby areas of Joyhing, North Lakhimpur.
  • Provided Hands on Training on 'AI in Pig' to field level veterinary workers of Lakhimpur and Dhemaji District.
  • A collaborative initiation between State Veterinary Department, Govt. of Assam and ARGO Department of LCVSc, AVFU has been started to establish Boar semen collection center at Lakhimpur and Dhemaji District.
  • Published 07 numbers of leaflet in Assamese script for practicing farmers.
