Salient achievements
- A Total of students have 25 students have received MVSc degree.
- A Total of 14 students have been awarded with PhD degree.
- A total of 10 students has cleared ICAR NET.
- A total of 6 students is working as faculty member in State universities.
- A total of 6 students is working in State Department as Veterinary Officers.
- A total 2 of students are serving in Public Service Commission.
- Three nos. of technologies developed in the AICRP on PHET were transferred to three entrepreneurs.
- The AICRP on PHET under the dept. of LPT established a Livestock Processing Centre (LPC) in Panbari, Lakhimpur operated by a startup entrepreneur under the firm named M/s. Daanam Enterprise.
- The AICRP on PHET under the dept. of LPT has developed a number of technologies viz. Ham Production with Improved Sensory Properties and Safety Indices, Intermediate Moisture Pork, Dietary fibre enriched Pork Nuggets and Sausage, Solar dried pork products, Slaughter house by-products for production of high value cheaper pet (Dog) food, Functional Pork Spread using Probiotic Culture, Nutraceutical enriched functional meat (Chicken) products incorporating finger millet bran, Demi-glace; Machineries such as Solar dryer for meat and fish, Low cost liquid smoke production plant, Foot Pedal Operated Meat Mincer, Solar powered Poultry Processing cum by-product collection unit for butchers, Mobile Pork cutting, display cum selling cart, Low-cost electrically operated revolving barbeque for meat and fish, Portable meat samosa cum patty making machine, Reinforced clay pot smoker, Slaughter house by-products collection unit.
- The scientists of the project AICRP on PHET were awarded Certificate of Appreciation for their outstanding performances declared by the AAU on 74th Republic Day of India.
- The AICRP on PHET under the dept. of LPT has successfully completed 24 no. of sub-projects. Presently, there are 3no.of ongoing sub-projects.
- The AICRP on PHET under the dept. of LPT is regularly conducting 6-8 nos. of trainings annually, 2-3 nos. of frontline demonstration programmes and one Kisan Mela every year.
